CHLEG SACCO

AWAC launched her Community Health and Livelihood Enhance Groups (CHLEGs) SACCO/Micro-finance Bank to enable FSWs diversify, partners call for equality to end HIV transmission: https://www.pmldaily.com/news/2022/11/economic-empowerment-awac-launches-microfinance-bank-to-enable-sex-workers-diversify-partners-call-for-equality-to-end-hiv-transmission.html. The CHLEG is a cocktail of health and socio- economic support in one safe space network in the community or hotspot level. They are useful in demand creation for HTS, supporting adherence, index contact tracing, disclosure, retention into care and saving through CoSLAs (Community Saving and Loans associations). CHLEGs are established on the basis of common needs, motivations, and intersectional risks and vulnerabilities of FSWs in their diversities in Uganda.
